About Nephtor
As a Drone Systems Specialist at Nephtor, you will work at the intersection of robotics, automation, and real-world mission operations. You’ll be responsible for configuring, testing, and integrating drones with Nephtor’s Drone OS, ensuring seamless communication between UAVs, payloads, ground systems, and cloud platforms. Your work will include flight mission planning, system calibration, sensor integration, hardware troubleshooting, and supporting autonomous flight deployments in agriculture, logistics, surveillance, and industrial environments. You will collaborate with our AI, software, and hardware teams to validate new features, run field tests, analyze flight-data logs, and continuously improve fleet reliability, safety, and mission performance. This role suits someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both hardware and software in high-precision environments.
Requirements

Proven experience with drones/UAV systems (DJI, Ardupilot, PX4, or similar).

Strong understanding of flight controllers, telemetry, and mission-planning workflows.

Experience integrating sensors: multispectral, thermal, LiDAR, RTK-GPS, or custom payloads.

Ability to diagnose hardware issues, tune flight parameters, and ensure stable flight performance.

Familiarity with autonomous flight operations and BVLOS-ready procedures (preferred).

Basic understanding of networking, LoRaWAN, MQTT, or IoT telemetry is a plus.

Comfortable conducting field tests, analyzing blackbox logs, and validating system performance.

Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with software and AI teams.
