As an Automation Engineer, you will help build the intelligent backbone that powers these systems.

As an Automation Engineer at Nephtor, you will shape the next generation of intelligent systems powering agriculture, energy, logistics, drones, and smart infrastructure worldwide. You’ll design, build, and refine automation workflows that connect IoT devices, sensors, robotics, and cloud services into seamless real-time operations. From integrating field hardware to developing automated processes inside our various OS platforms, you’ll work across the entire automation lifecycle—configuring triggers, building logic flows, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability at scale. This role is hands-on, technical, and highly creative: you’ll collaborate directly with our engineering team to prototype new features, test edge-case scenarios, improve system stability, and bring automation concepts into production. Requirements

 

• Strong experience with automation systems, IoT, or industrial control technologies.

• Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, MQTT, or similar communication protocols.

• Ability to design logical workflows and optimize automation sequences.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) is a strong plus.

• Good knowledge of sensor integration, data flow, or robotics is highly beneficial.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.

• Comfort working independently and owning automations from concept to completion.

• Based in Zurich or able to work fully remote with high reliability and communication discipline.
